Who We Are

Terrain Solar is an Australian owned and operated business that is developing innovative and strategically located solar farms across regional Australia. From initially locating suitable land and partnering with landowners, we take projects through engineering design, planning approval, grid connection, financing & investment stages and into construction and operation.

The company brings together industry leaders with a strong track record in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. The team have collectively developed over 2,000 megawatts of renewable energy projects across Australia, South Africa and the Pacific Region and are specialists in the land use, planning, engineering, energy and finance sectors.

Craig Peters

Craig has over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, with a deep understanding of retail, wholesale, network, and renewable energy markets. Craig is responsible for key contract negotiation, including connection agreements and PPAs, project management and business development.

Tom Allen

Tom has 10 years experience as a town planner, development assessor and project approvals manager. His career has involved working on the assessor and developer side for major renewable energy projects. Tom coordinates Terrain’s development processes and project management across the portfolio.

Ilyas Yousaf

Ilyas has 13 years’ experience as a Power systems/Grid Connection specialist with experience in power system design and commissioning. Ilyas holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and a Masters in Automation Control. Ilyas manages the grid connection process across the Terrain portfolio.

Matilda Wachsmann

Matilda has over 7 years of experience as a project manager and planning approvals specialist. Prior to joining Terrain, she worked as a consultant advising developers, government, owners and operators on renewable energy projects. Matilda is responsible for the project approvals and project management across the Terrain portfolio.
